JPHIL (JGC PHILIPPINES, INC.) is a subsidiary of JGC Corporation in Yokohama Japan. Founded in 1928, JGC Corporation (Japan) has expanded to 17 offices and 43 global affiliates. On November 2002, JGC Corporation was given the Outstanding International Employer Award by the Philippine Government.

JPHIL was established in the Philippines in 1989. For the past decade, the company has gained global recognition for detailed engineering design work and as a full service international Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) Contractor in hydrocarbon energy and other industries.

JPHIL utilizes an efficient IT-driven EPC project execution system. Among Filipino EPC Companies, JPHIL is one of the first to use engineering-related software such as Project Management System (PMS), Plant Design System (PDS), PDMS, X-Steel and J-DOME. The company continuously invests in the expansion of 3D CAD applications, integration and enhancement of various engineering tools, e-Procurement applications, fully integrated web-based project management system (EPC) and improvement of IT infrastructure quality and capacity.

JPHIL's quality control system conforms to the ISO 9001:2000 standards for project management, engineering, procurement, construction management and commissioning.

Manned by technically competent staff, JPHIL's local and international projects in the line of E, EP, or EPC for Ethylene, Power, Polyethylene and Nickel plants manifest top-quality service at competitive costs.

Currently staffed by 600 foreign and Filipino managers, engineers and non-engineering professionals with experiences both in international and domestic projects, JPHIL aims to employ at least one thousand employees in the next few years.

JPHIL develops and strengthens its IT facilities according to the standards set by JGC Group of Companies. JPHIL provides intensive employee training through in-house technical and computer training, cadetship training for fresh engineering graduates, on-the-job training, external training such as leadership and management development programs, and overseas training in JGC offices and project sites abroad.
