2/1/2006
Gil Alquisola

Location : Pandacan, Manila
Client : Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp./Caltex Phils./Petron Corp.

The Pandacan Scaledown Project (PSD) was 99% complete as of 30 June 2005. As a background, the project was awarded to JPHIL on 22 October 2003, with an EPC contract amounting to Php 248 million. The projects simple ground breaking ceremony was held on 22 February 2004 and attended by the clients Project Implementation Team (PIT) Project manager Apolinario Reyes Jr, representatives from Petron Corp., Caltex Phils., Pilipinas Shell and JPHIL with its project team headed by project manager John Jao.

As of 30 June 2005, JPHIL had achieved 700,850 man-hours without lost time injury (LTI).

In general, the client has given the impression of satisfaction in JPHILs overall execution of the project. We, therefore, look forward to the possibility of working with them again in one of their future projects, perhaps in phase 2 of the PSD project.

The PSD project can be considered as a good local project for JPHIL. Aside from working with the three big oil companies, JPHIL has gained more experience working in a live plant.
