K2U Project, Thailand
Owned by Thai Polyacetal Company Ltd. (a J/V company between Mitsubishi Gas Chemical of Japan & TOA of Thailand), this project is a 30,000 tons/year polyacetal plant. The plant includes Formalin unit, Trioxane unit, polymer unit and Utilities with Methanol as the main raw material. The products are used for engineering plastics such as plastic caps and plastic engineering gears.
JPHIL executed 70% of the engineering works and 30% by JGC Yokohama. The project's estimated cost is US$ 50 Million.
